You can stand up in the shower but if you lift your arms to say, shampoo your hair, you are touching the walls continuously. The bathroom and the shower, in particular, were so ridiculously small it was funny. Wifi service worked outside our room, something we decided to skip since the occupants of the next two rooms were sitting outside smoking.

The TV received three channels, we inquired about this and were told that it was "hit or miss". We decided to make the best of it after our long drive and it was quite a long night between the bed shifting and listening to the noise from the surrounding rooms and the restaurant parking lot right outside the door. The bed is on wheels and the floors are some type of laminate so the bed moves away from the wall and around the room when anyone moves an inch. The bed was so worn, it looked as though it was ready for the trash heap. We were given a room key and looked into the room to realize how very small it was and were really disappointed. We checked in on a Friday and waited for nearly 10 minutes at the restaurant hostess stand to do so. My words have to do with the "Inn" motel rooms attached to the same building. The great reviews for the food should be attributed to the restaurant of the same name on premises. We chose to eat in the little library off to the side because there are only two tables in there spaced very far apart. The breakfasts were absolutely amazing! You have the option to take your food to your room. The room was spotless and when we called to request more towels due to no housekeeping currently, Charles brought them up within one minute. All staff are wearing face coverings all the time, which I really appreciated due to the pandemic. We received homemade ice cream and apple pie on the 4th which was delicious. So friendly and always ready with a recommendation or answer to a question. Melissa and Charles are the loveliest people. The absolute best part of this inn is the owners. We stayed here for two nights over the 4th of July weekend in the Sovereign of the Seas room. If you’re looking for things to do, you can check out Ouray Ice Park (0.1 mi), which is a popular attraction amongst tourists, and it is within walking distance.Ĭhina Clipper Inn is sure to make your visit to Ouray one worth remembering.
